I’ve been trying to import large MBOX files into Thunderbird, but the process is painfully slow, often freezing or failing halfway through. The built-in import methods are unreliable, and manual workarounds take forever. I’ve also noticed that sometimes, imported emails go missing, attachments don’t transfer properly, and the folder structure gets messed up. Additionally, Thunderbird crashes when handling multiple MBOX files, making the entire process frustrating and inefficient.
I initially tried using Thunderbird’s ImportExportTools NG add-on, but it was inconsistent, especially with large files. Some emails wouldn’t show up, and in cases where the import worked, duplicates flooded my inbox, making it difficult to organize emails properly.
