For those who may not be familiar, tokenized assets are real-world assets (like real estate, stocks, art, or commodities) represented digitally on a blockchain. Essentially, you're taking an asset and creating a digital token that represents ownership or a stake in it.
This trend is gaining traction for a few reasons:
Increased Liquidity – Fractional ownership allows more people to invest in traditionally illiquid assets (e.g., real estate or fine art).
Transparency & Security – Blockchain records transactions immutably, reducing fraud and enhancing trust.
24/7 Global Markets – Unlike traditional markets, tokenized assets can be traded any time, from anywhere.
Reduced Intermediaries – Smart contracts could automate processes like settlement, compliance, and transfers.
But of course, it's not without challenges:
Regulatory Uncertainty – Laws differ by region, and compliance is still a gray area in many countries.
Custody & Security Risks – Who holds the underlying asset? What happens if the token platform fails?
Market Maturity – Infrastructure, standards, and investor education are still developing.
