Need Guidance for First Home Buyers Melbourne – Anyone Been Through This?
#1
Hi everyone,

I’m starting my journey as one of the many First Home Buyers Melbourne, and I’m hoping to get some real, practical advice from people who’ve already been through the process.

Right now, I’m trying to figure out a few things:
  • How much deposit did you save before your loan got approved?
  • Are the government grants and stamp duty concessions actually useful in today’s market?
  • Did you go directly through a bank or work with a broker?
  • Any suburbs that are good for first-timers without going too far out?

I’ve done quite a bit of research online, and Borg Financial keeps coming up as a broker that supports first-home buyers with comparisons, grant eligibility and general guidance. Before I reach out to them, I’d love to hear if anyone here has worked with Borg Financial or any similar broker in Melbourne.

If you recently bought your first home, how was your overall experience? Was the process stressful or more manageable with the right help? Any pitfalls, steps or tips you wish you knew earlier?

Would appreciate any insights. Trying to make the right decisions without feeling overwhelmed. Thanks in advance!
