Lightweight shake style roof tiles

Hi everyone. Our house has an old wooden frame that cannot support heavy clay or concrete roof tiles. We really love the classic shake style look but we need something lightweight. Are there any good metal options that look realistic and don't look like a cheap industrial tin roof? What are your experiences with alternative roof coverings in Slovenia?

You should look into composite metal tiles. They are much lighter than regular tiles. My neighbor installed these a while ago and they look premium. You can see the technical details and dimensions here https://www.gerardroofs.si/sl/stresniki/gerard-corona which shows they are about 7 times lighter than concrete options. They have a natural stone chip finish that completely covers the metal, so it looks very authentic. The roof holds up great against wind and heavy snow too.
