Korean Media: Shin Tae-yong Uses Korean Slang "Dung Ball" to Describe China's Style o
#1
According to Korean media outlet Xportsnews reporter Kim Jeong-hyeon, in a post-match press conference, Indonesia’s Korean head coach Shin Tae-yong used the Korean slang term "똥볼" ("dung ball") to describe China's style of play. The report stated that Shin Tae-yong expressed disappointment at failing to win, while also directly criticizing China's playing style.

Shin Tae-yong said, "First, congratulations to the Chinese team. I don't think we can make excuses because we did lose. But honestly, I didn't expect China to play such poor football. I didn't expect them to play 'dung ball' (똥볼)." (Note: "똥볼" literally translates to "dung ball" and is a Korean slang term referring to a "foolish style of football," typically involving overly simplistic, long-ball tactics.)

The Korean media also noted that Indonesia had a possession rate of 74% during the match but struggled significantly in the first half under China’s strong physical pressure. China secured two goals early in the game with an efficient offensive push. Following the match, Indonesia remained in 5th place in Group C and is the only team in the group without a win. Although China won the game, they still ranked at the bottom of the group due to goal differential, trailing behind Indonesia (Indonesia -1, China -9).
