Is there any way to access my OST file emails in a web browser
#1
My system crashed during a restart, and now Outlook shows an error every time I try to load my mailbox. I need to check some old email threads, so I am looking for a method to read the OST file through a browser instead of Outlook.

Yes, there 2 ways to access your OST file emails in a web browser: the manual way and with a professional tool. I used the manual way, but it did not give me a reliable result. After that, I use a professional tool, which is DataVare OST to MHTML Converter Expert. It can easily convert OST to MHTML format without any data loss. It allows for converting single or multiple OST files at once without requiring Outlook and Exchange Server for the conversion process. When you convert an OST file into MHTML format, users can easily access it in any web browser without depending on Outlook. It has a user-friendly interface, which makes it easy even for novice users.

Yes, there is a way to access your OST file emails in any web browser by converting your OST file to HTML format. There is no direct means, manual way to convert OST to HTML format, but you can convert by using Softaken OST to HTML Converter. This OST to HTML Converter helps you to easily convert Outlook OST files to HTML format, whether the OST files are orphaned or disconnected from the server. It allows working without the installation of Exchange Server and MS Outlook for the conversion process. It offers a demo version and a user-friendly interface, which both make it easy to use, even for non-technical users.

An OST file can’t be opened in a web browser because it’s an encrypted local cache that only Outlook can read. However, you can still access the same emails online if the mailbox is active.

Just sign in to your provider’s webmail, for example:

Outlook / OWA
Gmail webmail
Your hosting provider’s webmail

If the mailbox still exists on the server, all your emails will be there.

But if the mailbox/account is no longer available and the OST is the only copy of your data, Outlook won’t open it directly. In that case, using an OST converter like Stellar Converter for OST lets you extract the emails and read them again.
It’s useful specifically when the OST is “orphaned” and Outlook can’t connect to the server anymore.
