I’m planning a trip to Hawaii next year with a group of friends and family, and I wanted to check if anyone here has experience with Hawaiian Airlines Group Travel. We’re going to have around 12–15 people on the same itinerary, so I’m trying to figure out whether doing a group booking with Hawaiian Airlines is worth it or if we should just book individually.
From what I’ve found so far, Hawaiian Airlines does offer group booking for 10 or more passengers, and they apparently provide special group fares, flexible payment options, and extra time to submit the final list of passenger names. You also get assistance from their Group Travel Desk, which sounds helpful since managing so many people can get chaotic.
But before I decide, I’d really like to hear from people who have actually done this. A few things I’m curious about:
1. Did you actually get lower fares with group booking compared to individual tickets?
Sometimes airlines say “discounted fares,” but the price ends up being the same as booking separately.
2. How was the customer service from the Group Travel Desk?
Was the team responsive? Did they help you with changes or special requests?
3. Was it easy to manage payments and deadlines?
Group travel often requires a deposit first and the final payment later. Wondering if the timelines were flexible enough.
4. Did Hawaiian Airlines keep everyone on the same flight?
Our main goal is to travel together, so I’m hoping they actually make the effort to keep the group seated close or at least on the same plane.
5. Any pros or cons I should know before submitting the group quote request?
