I recently started testing Dating CPM Ads for one of my small dating offers, and I’m honestly curious if anyone else here has tried them. I kept seeing people mention CPM traffic as “faster,” but I wasn’t sure if that was just talk or if it actually worked in real life.
My main problem was volume. With CPC campaigns, I felt stuck waiting forever to get enough clicks, and costs kept jumping around. Some days were decent, others were dead. It was hard to scale or even tell what was working. Plus, dating traffic can be unpredictable, so I didn’t want to burn money testing blindly.
So I decided to try CPM instead, mostly because I just wanted more eyeballs quickly. What I noticed first was how fast impressions stacked up. Within a day, I had way more exposure than I usually get with click-based ads. Not every impression turned into a click, obviously, but the traffic felt steadier. It was easier to test different creatives too, since I wasn’t stressing over every single click price.
That said, it wasn’t perfect. My first banners totally flopped. Low CTR, barely any signups. Once I changed the images and made the text simpler and more direct, things improved. I guess with CPM, creatives matter even more because you’re paying for views, not actions.
In the end, I wouldn’t call it magic, but it did help me reach more singles faster and gather data quicker. If you’re stuck with slow traffic or expensive clicks, it might be worth a small test budget just to compare. I’m still experimenting, but so far it feels like a useful option to have in the mix rather than relying on one method only.
