Hello everyone,
I’ve been working on setting up an Odoo-based eCommerce website, and I’m currently evaluating different Odoo payment methods. While Odoo provides flexibility with gateways like PayPal, Stripe, Razorpay, PayU, and even local bank integrations, I’m struggling to decide which combination is the most effective for both local and international customers.
Here are some issues I’ve faced so far:
👉 Which Odoo payment methods worked best for you in terms of speed, security, and customer satisfaction? Did you need heavy customization, or was the out-of-the-box integration sufficient?
Any real-world insights would be really valuable.
Thanks in advance!

Here are some issues I’ve faced so far:
- Some Odoo payment methods work well for one-time payments but don’t support recurring billing or EMI options.
- Refunds and partial payment handling are inconsistent across gateways, and I’m not sure if additional customization is needed.
- Customers from certain regions prefer local gateways (e.g., Razorpay in India, PayU in Europe), and I don’t want to lose conversions because of limited payment choices.
- I’ve read that too many payment options on checkout can slow down performance or confuse users — has anyone experienced this with Odoo?
