Hi everyone, I am Nina Zhao, the creator of Fruit Merge Game. I would like to introduce my browser puzzle and share some practical ideas for new players. This is my own project, so this introduction comes from the creator rather than an independent reviewer.
The basic idea
Move the mouse to aim, then click to drop a fruit into the container. Matching fruits merge into larger ones. The challenge is to manage the available space and keep the pile below the danger line. A simple action can change the arrangement of several pieces, which makes the position of each drop worth thinking about.
Look beyond the immediate match
Before dropping, consider where the fruit will land and what will remain around it after a merge. A quick match may clear some space, but the position of the resulting larger fruit also matters. Try comparing two possible placements instead of automatically choosing the nearest matching piece. One might give you a match now, while the other leaves a more useful arrangement for later.
Keep matching fruits accessible
Try to avoid burying a small fruit beneath unrelated pieces. Leaving space around potential matches gives you more options as the pile develops. After a merge, pause briefly to see how the arrangement has changed before choosing the next landing position. The useful question is not only whether two fruits can match, but whether your next drop will help them meet.
Watch the height of the pile
Making larger fruit is only part of the challenge. Space is a limited resource, so keep an eye on the height of the stack as well as the nearest match. If one side is getting crowded, consider a placement that keeps more of the container usable. Avoid assuming that a good move in one arrangement will work equally well in another.
A simple practice routine
For a first session, focus on understanding one decision at a time. Choose a landing position, make the drop, and observe the result before clicking again. Ask yourself whether that move brought matching pieces closer together or made one of them harder to reach. This can help you notice useful patterns instead of treating every drop as a separate guess.
For example, imagine that a matching pair is near the middle, while a smaller fruit sits alone near an edge. Dropping toward the pair may look attractive, but consider whether the larger piece created by the merge could block the isolated fruit. There is no single placement that fits every situation. The habit worth practicing is weighing an immediate match against the space left afterward.
If a run ends sooner than expected, choose one moment to learn from: an overcrowded side, an inaccessible matching fruit, or a drop made before the previous movement settled. Try changing that one habit on the next attempt. You do not need a complicated strategy to begin; careful observation and leaving yourself room for another move provide a useful foundation.

I would welcome feedback on how clear the controls and basic rules feel to a first-time player. In a merging puzzle, do you usually prioritize setting up a future match or clearing space immediately?
