When I was preparing for my first trade show in Nuremberg, I had the same question because I wasn't sure how long the entire process would take. I initially thought an exhibition stand could be designed and built within a few days, but after speaking with different contractors, I realized there's much more involved than just assembling the booth at the venue. The timeline depends on factors like the stand size, whether it's custom or modular, design complexity, graphics, approvals, and logistics.
After comparing several companies, I decided to work with Blueprint Exhibits, and they explained every stage of the project before getting started. The first step was understanding our exhibition goals, brand requirements, and budget. They then created a detailed 3D booth design, which took about a week because we requested a few revisions. Once the design was approved, they moved on to fabrication, graphic production, and quality inspections. Since our booth was custom-built, this stage took around three to five weeks. Finally, the stand was transported to the exhibition venue in Nuremberg, where the installation team completed the setup within the venue's scheduled build-up period.
What I liked most was that everything was managed by one company. I didn't have to coordinate separately with designers, fabricators, logistics providers, or installers. Their project manager kept us updated throughout the process, so we always knew what stage the project was in and when the next milestone would be completed.

From my experience, it's a good idea to book your exhibition stand builder at least three to six months before the event. Although the physical installation at the venue may only take one or two days, the planning, design, approvals, production, and logistics require much more time. Rushing the process can lead to unnecessary stress or last-minute changes. BluePrint Exhibits delivered our stand exactly as approved, met every deadline, and made the entire exhibition process smooth. If I were exhibiting in Nuremberg again, I would definitely work with them because having one experienced team handle everything made a huge difference.
