As I have decided to open my own business, I have been researching various logo designers. What has caught me off guard is how variable the pricing is. There are those who ask for practically nothing and others who demand quite a lot for seemingly similar logos.

Comparing some portfolios made me wonder whether it is worth spending more money or not. What does the additional fee mean? Is it about the creative process or the brand building?

Having searched for some time for the various logo design services in Singapore, each claims to offer unique designs and good branding. However, from the client's perspective, how does an expensive service differ from a cheap service?

What I noticed is that each designer offers something different when it comes to their services. There are designers that include some kind of research, branding, and multiple logo concepts in their offer, but there are those that offer a logo for a certain fee only. In my opinion, since I am not familiar with the designing process and all its nuances, it is difficult to determine whether all those services provide additional value or not and it is mostly marketing.

Also, what I would like to learn is what the importance of communication. Does communication play a key role in creating a successful logo and the more time you spend discussing your business with the designer, the better result you receive, or does it matter that the designer is experienced enough and will be able to create a masterpiece even with a simple brief?

There is one more point that I wanted to raiseĀ it is revisions. Some companies offer unlimited revisions, and some limit their amount. Is it really beneficial to have more revision opportunities, or is it better to choose someone who understands you well right away?

Apart from that, I have thought about using logo creators online and hiring a freelancer, as both alternatives are cheaper. But at the same time, I doubt that such a decision will give the chance to get a unique logo or that the design will be dependent on templates too much.

Most importantly, I would not like to end up making a mistake I will be sorry about in the future. I would greatly appreciate hearing from those who have worked with a professional designer. Did the higher price pay off, or is there a cheaper alternative that can give the same outcome? Any feedback will be useful for me.
