I’m currently working at Dev Technosys on a Car Service App Development project, and I wanted to discuss some challenges we are facing while scaling the platform. We are developing features like online booking, mechanic assignment, live tracking, service scheduling, and payment integration, but managing everything smoothly in real time is becoming difficult as user activity increases.
One major issue we are facing is handling instant booking requests during busy hours. Sometimes multiple users request services at the same time, and assigning available mechanics without delays becomes complicated. We are exploring automation and AI-based scheduling, but balancing speed and accuracy is still a challenge. Has anyone here implemented a smart booking or auto-assignment system successfully?
Another challenge is maintaining accurate live service updates. Customers expect notifications for pickup confirmation, repair progress, estimated completion time, and vehicle delivery tracking. Syncing all these updates in real time without affecting app performance is something we are still optimizing. Which backend technologies or cloud solutions work best for these kinds of apps?
We are also trying to improve customer retention and repeat bookings. Features like loyalty rewards, service subscriptions, maintenance reminders, and personalized offers seem useful, but we are unsure which ones actually improve engagement in real-world scenarios. If anyone has experience building retention-focused features, I’d love to know what worked best.
Additionally, integrating multiple service categories such as car wash, roadside assistance, periodic servicing, and emergency repair into one platform is making workflow management more complex. We want the app to remain simple for users while still offering advanced business functionality.
