I’ve been wondering this for a while now because it feels like running business loan ads isn’t as straightforward as it used to be. Every time I think I’ve found a decent platform, something changes—either costs go up or the leads just aren’t that great. So I’m curious what others are using these days.

When I first started running business loan ads, I naturally went with the big, obvious platforms. They do bring traffic, but I noticed pretty quickly that the competition is intense and the cost per lead can get out of hand. Plus, not every click turns into a serious inquiry. It felt like I was spending more time filtering out bad leads than actually getting results.

One issue I kept running into was targeting. Even when I tried to narrow things down, I’d still get people who weren’t really a good fit for business loans. Either they were just browsing or looking for something completely different. It made me question whether I was on the right platform or just setting things up the wrong way.

So I started experimenting a bit. I tried a few alternative ad networks and smaller platforms that focus more on finance-related traffic. Surprisingly, some of those gave me better engagement, even if the volume was lower. It felt like the people clicking were at least more interested in what I was offering.

I also realized that the platform itself is only part of the equation. The way the ads are written and where they lead matters just as much. Simple, clear messaging worked better for me than anything too clever or complicated. And landing pages that get straight to the point seemed to convert better.

At one point, I came across this page about running business loan ads on finance traffic networks, and it gave me a better idea of how niche platforms actually work. It didn’t magically fix everything, but it did help me think differently about where my ads should appear and who I should be targeting.

Right now, I’d say there’s no single “best” platform. It really depends on your budget, your targeting, and how much testing you’re willing to do. For me, mixing a couple of platforms and adjusting along the way seems to be working better than relying on just one.

Would be interesting to hear what others are trying and what’s actually working for you.
