Full Version: Do Adult Ads actually keep users coming back

I have been wondering about Adult Ads for a while, especially whether they really bring people back or just get quick signups that disappear. It seems easy to get someone curious enough to click and register, but keeping them active feels like a totally different challenge. I used to think getting more signups meant things were working, but over time I realized most of those users never returned after day one.
One problem I noticed was that a lot of traffic looked good on paper but had no real interest. People would sign up fast, maybe explore for a few minutes, and then never log in again. It made me question if the ads were attracting the right audience or just random clicks. Some friends in similar spaces said they faced the same issue. High signup numbers looked exciting at first, but engagement stayed low.
After trying a few different approaches, I started paying more attention to where the ads showed up and how they were presented. What made a difference was focusing on placements where users were already interested in similar content. When people clicked out of real curiosity instead of impulse, they stayed longer and actually came back. I also noticed that simple and honest ad messaging worked better than flashy promises.
Another thing that helped was giving new users a reason to return. It sounds obvious, but the ad sets the expectation. If the experience matches what they saw, they are more likely to stay active. When there was a mismatch, retention dropped fast.
From my experience, the goal should not just be getting clicks or signups. It is more about attracting people who are genuinely interested. That shift in mindset made a noticeable difference in retention over time.
