I’m currently exploring options to create a grocery delivery app, and I’d love to get insights from others who have worked on similar projects. From what I’ve researched, customer expectations are really high in this space, so it seems like having the right set of features is crucial to gaining traction.

Some features I think are must-haves include:
  • Easy product browsing & advanced search filters so customers can quickly find items.
  • Multiple payment options (cards, wallets, UPI, COD, etc.) to increase convenience.
  • Real-time order tracking that shows the delivery status at every step.
  • Scheduled deliveries & slot booking to let users order at their preferred time.
  • Push notifications & personalized offers to keep customers engaged and encourage repeat orders.
  • Ratings & reviews for transparency and to build trust among users.
On the backend side, features for store owners and delivery staff are equally important. Things like inventory management, sales reports, and delivery route optimization can make a huge difference in efficiency and cost savings.

While researching, I came across Growcer, a ready-made grocery delivery solution that comes with many of these features built-in for customers, vendors, and delivery partners. It looks like a practical option for startups or small businesses who want to launch faster without spending months (and a fortune) building from scratch.

Has anyone here tried launching their grocery delivery platform? Which features did you find most critical for success, and what would you improve if you could do it again?
