Hi everyone, 

I’m looking for some advice from fellow car wash owners and industry pros. I currently operate one high-traffic location and have plans to expand to two or three more within the next couple of years. Right now, I’m using a very basic POS setup, but it’s starting to hold us back. I need a more advanced car wash POS system that can handle both my current workload and future growth.
Here’s what’s most important to me:
  • Cloud-based access so I can check reports, manage operations, and make updates from anywhere
  • Automated membership billing with flexible plans for unlimited washes and seasonal packages
  • License plate recognition (LPR) or RFID for fast, hands-free check-ins
  • Real-time reporting and analytics on sales, memberships, staff performance, and peak hours
  • Inventory management for tracking supplies and reordering before stock runs out
  • Easy integration with marketing tools for loyalty programs, targeted promotions, and customer engagement
  • User-friendly interface for quick staff training and smooth daily operation
I’ve heard good things about WashMetrix, DRB Systems, and Micrologic, but I’m not sure which one offers the best combination of reliability, features, and price. For those of you who’ve switched to a new system recently, what has your experience been like? Which features have been the most valuable? Were there any unexpected challenges during the transition?
