I recently had the pleasure of flying with Icelandair from the Icelandair CPH Terminal at Copenhagen Airport, and I’m happy to share that the experience was truly outstanding from beginning to end. As someone who travels frequently for both business and leisure, I’ve been through my fair share of terminals around the world, and this one stood out for all the right reasons.
From the moment I arrived at the airport, everything felt smooth and well-organized. The Icelandair check-in area at the CPH Terminal was easy to locate thanks to clear airport signage and staff who were readily available to direct passengers. The airline’s counters were well-staffed, and the check-in process was fast and efficient. Even with several other passengers checking in at the same time, the line moved quickly, and the agents handled everything professionally. I was able to check my bag and get my boarding pass in less than 10 minutes — a huge plus when you’re traveling on a schedule.
Once checked in, I proceeded through the security checkpoint, which was equally efficient. The staff at Copenhagen Airport are courteous and well-trained, and the security process was both smooth and respectful. Within no time, I was in the departures area and had plenty of time to explore the terminal.
The Icelandair CPH Terminal is modern, clean, and comfortable. What I appreciated most was the calm and relaxed atmosphere, even during peak travel hours. There were plenty of seating areas available, including quiet corners where you could sit back and unwind before boarding. There are also numerous charging stations throughout the terminal, which made it easy to top off my phone and laptop before the flight. Free Wi-Fi was available and worked reliably.
In terms of amenities, the terminal had a solid selection of restaurants, cafes, and duty-free shopping options. I enjoyed a nice meal at one of the casual dining spots before heading to my gate. Whether you're looking for a quick snack, coffee, or a full meal, there’s something for everyone. The restrooms were clean, conveniently located, and well-maintained — another small but important detail that made the experience more enjoyable.
Boarding for the Icelandair flight was announced on time, and the staff at the gate were clear and organized in guiding passengers through the process. Boarding was done in groups, and priority boarding was respected. Everything felt efficient and well-planned. Once onboard, the Icelandair crew continued the great experience with warm hospitality and professional service.
Overall, the Icelandair CPH Terminal at Copenhagen Airport offers one of the best airport experiences I’ve had in Europe. The combination of friendly airline staff, efficient operations, clean and modern facilities, and great passenger amenities makes it an ideal starting point for any Icelandair journey. Whether you’re flying to Reykjavik or connecting to another destination, I highly recommend flying from this terminal if you have the chance. It made my trip smooth, enjoyable, and completely stress-free.
