What type of audience works best to promote finance offers?
#1
I’ve been wondering this for a while because not all traffic feels the same when you promote finance offers. Like, you can get clicks easily, but getting actual signups or conversions? That’s where it gets tricky.

At first, I thought going broad was the best move. I tried targeting pretty much anyone interested in money, investing, or side income ideas. The traffic looked decent on the surface, but most people just bounced. It felt like they were curious, not serious. That’s when I realized not everyone clicking on a finance ad is actually ready to take action.

One of the biggest struggles I had was figuring out intent. Some audiences just like reading about finance, while others are actively looking for solutions like loans, trading platforms, or ways to grow money. The difference between those two groups is huge, but it’s not always obvious at the start.

After testing a bit, I noticed that people already searching for specific financial solutions worked way better. For example, users looking into forex trading, loan comparisons, or credit improvement seemed more likely to convert. They already had a problem and were open to trying something new. Compared to that, general “make money online” audiences felt too cold.

Another thing I learned is that location and income level matter more than I expected. Some regions respond better to certain finance offers, and some users just don’t trust ads easily. I had better results when I narrowed things down instead of chasing volume. Smaller but more relevant audiences actually performed better.

I also experimented with different platforms and traffic types. Native ads and search-based traffic seemed to bring more serious users compared to random display traffic. It’s not perfect, but it felt like a step in the right direction.

If you’re trying to figure this out yourself, I’d say focus less on “more traffic” and more on “right traffic.” I came across some helpful insights while digging deeper into ways to promote finance offers, and it gave me a better idea of how targeting and intent really work together.

Overall, I don’t think there’s one perfect audience, but there’s definitely a wrong one. People who are already thinking about financial decisions tend to convert way better than those just casually browsing. That shift in mindset made a big difference for me.
