Hi all,
I am currently dealing with a massive MBOX file. It's well over a few GBs and causing my email client to lag, freeze, and occasionally crash. Managing and opening such a large file has become incredibly frustrating. And I am concerned it might even lead to data loss if I keep forcing it to load.
I tried looking into manual ways to split the file, but honestly, it looks too risky and time taking task. Most solutions require either technical knowledge or scripting skills, and I’d prefer something safer and more efficient. I need to split this MBOX file into smaller, manageable chunks and preferably based on size, date range, or folder for easy import and access later.
While searching for solutions, I came across a tool called SysTools MBOX Splitter. It claims to break large MBOX files into multiple parts without any risk of data loss, corruption, or change in formatting. The software supposedly supports bulk splitting and even works with MBOX files from different platforms like Thunderbird, Mac Mail, Eudora, and others. It also says it keeps attachments, metadata, and folder hierarchy intact, which is a big plus for me. As, this suits best to my needs and compatible with all kind of MBOX files.
Before I go ahead and try it, I wanted to know has anyone here actually used SysTools MBOX Splitter? Does it work as advertised? Is it user-friendly for someone who’s not super tech-savvy? It can be used by various fields of users.
