I’ve been going back and forth on whether I should finally invest in a major hair transformation. Over the past year, I’ve tried a few different salons in the area and honestly, the experiences have been hit or miss. Either I felt rushed out the door, the color didn’t turn out how I pictured it, or the stylists just didn’t seem to really listen to what I was asking for. Because of that, I’ve been hesitant to book anywhere new without doing some research first.
While looking for recommendations, I came across silviehair.com and instantly got pulled in by how beautiful the space looked. Silvie Studio is located on East Lake Street in Wayzata Bay, and from everything I’ve read, it seems like a step above the average salon. They specialize in hair color, extensions, and modern cuts, and they make a point to say that the entire experience is meant to feel personalized and relaxing. That alone sounds like such a welcome change compared to what I’m used to.
Another thing that caught my attention is that their stylists are nationally recognized. To me, that says they’re serious about their craft and up to date on trends and techniques. I’m thinking about booking either a full color refresh or possibly extensions since my hair has been feeling a little thin lately. But because it’s a bigger investment, I really want to hear from people who have actually been there before I make the leap.
For anyone who’s been a client at Silvie Studio, was the experience truly as high-end as it looks online? Did you feel like the stylists actually took the time to understand your goals and work with you on the look you wanted? How was the atmosphere inside the salon? Did you feel comfortable and cared for throughout the process? And for those who had color or extensions done, how did the results hold up afterward?
I’d love any honest feedback you can share because I’m really hoping to find a salon that I can stick with long term. If you have any tips on which stylist to book with, that would be amazing too.
