I have an old PST file created with Outlook 2003, and I’m trying to use it in Outlook 2016. I read that older PST files use ANSI format and the newer ones use Unicode. How can I upgrade my old PST file to the Unicode format so it works properly in Outlook 2016?

PST files used in older versions of Microsoft Outlook were in ANSI format with a maximum file size limit of only 2 GB. But Outlook 2003 and later versions (such as Outlook 2016) adopted the Unicode format, which can store more data and provides better security.
If you have an old ANSI PST file and want to upgrade it to Outlook 2016, use the software below:
I would like to share my experience about a great tool here—Softaken Upgrade PST Software. Recently I needed to update some old Outlook PST files as they were in ANSI format and the new version of Outlook was not supporting them. After searching a lot online, I tried this tool.
Its interface is very simple and user-friendly. I converted my ANSI files to UNICODE format in just a few clicks. There was no data loss, and all emails, contacts, calendars, tasks, etc., were intact.
Some of the things I liked:
No technical knowledge required
Ability to update multiple PST files simultaneously in batch mode
Outlook is not required to run
100% safe and virus-free
If you, too, want to convert old Outlook PST files to the new format, then I would recommend this tool.
