Hi everyone,
I’m planning a visit to Rajasthan soon and one of the highlights I’m really excited about is experiencing the Jawai Leopard Safari I’ve been reading about how Jawai, also called the Leopard Hills, is famous for its unique landscape of granite hills, the Jawai Bandh (dam), and of course, its thriving leopard population. The photos and videos I’ve seen look incredible — leopards resting on rocks, moving gracefully in the wild, and even being spotted near villages.
I wanted to check with those who have already been — what’s the best way to go aboutJawai Leopard safari? Should I confirm everything online in advance, or is it better to arrange it through a local resort once I reach there? I’ve noticed that some luxury camps and homestays in the Jawai area offer their own guided safari tours, while others connect you with experienced local trackers.
If you’ve been recently, I’d love to know:
Any personal stories, booking tips, or advice on the best time of year to visit would be greatly appreciated. I’m really hoping to make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime experience in Jawai.
Thanks in advance for sharing your inputs!

If you’ve been recently, I’d love to know:
- Which safari operators or resorts do you recommend?
- Is it better to go for a morning safari or an evening one for the best sightings?
- What’s the average cost per safari and does it include everything like guide, jeep, and permits?
- How far in advance should I make the booking to avoid last-minute disappointment?
