How to Use the Megaphone & Input Sound IDs in Grow A Garden 2
#1
If you've been spending any time playing Grow a Garden 2 lately, you know that keeping your garden growing is only half the fun. The real joy comes from hanging out, showing off your hard work, and—if you have the Megaphone—blasting some music or funny audio tracks for everyone nearby to hear.
Using the Megaphone to play custom sounds is one of the coolest features in the game, but if you don't know exactly where to click or how to find the proper sound codes, it can be a bit confusing. Here is a straightforward, player-to-player guide on how to get the Megaphone, open up the hidden settings menu, and get your favorite Roblox sound IDs playing in no time.
Step 1: Buying the Megaphone
Before you can start blasting tunes, you actually have to own the Megaphone. To get it, head over to the center lobby platform where all the main shops are located. Look for George's Gear Shop, which is the blue stall sitting right between the Props Shop and the Seed Shop.
Once you talk to George, you have two options to buy it. You can either save up 8,000 Sheckles through regular gameplay, or if you are feeling impatient and have some Robux burning a hole in your pocket, you can buy it instantly for 49 Robux.
Step 2: Equipping It and Finding the Menu
After you buy the Megaphone, it goes straight into your inventory backpack. Open up your hotbar, select the Megaphone, and make sure your character is actively holding it in their hand.
This next part is where a lot of players get stuck. While you are holding the Megaphone, look closely at the bottom-right corner of your screen. A tiny gear or cog icon will pop up. This icon only shows up when the Megaphone is equipped. Click or tap on that little gear to pull up the audio configuration panel.
Step 3: Putting in Your Sound IDs
Now that the menu is open, you have a few options for customizing your audio:
  • Manual Entry: You will see a text box that says "Sound ID Here". Just click inside that box and type or paste the numerical Roblox Sound ID you want to use.
  • The Dice Feature: If you don't have a specific sound code on hand and just want to hear something funny, click the little dice icon sitting to the left of the text bar. This will automatically roll a random, pre-loaded Roblox sound for you.
  • Changing the Volume: Right underneath the code box, there is a volume slider. You can use this to crank up your track so the whole server can hear it, or lower it down if you just want some quiet background music while you tend to your plants.
Step 4: Making It Play
Once you have your ID typed in and your volume adjusted, close out of the settings menu. To finally activate the sound, simply click or tap anywhere on your game screen while holding the Megaphone. Your sound track will start playing out loud.
How to Find Your Own Roblox Sound IDs
If you get tired of using the random dice button and want to play specific songs or funny sound effects, you will need to grab the official asset codes from the Roblox platform. Here is how you do it:
  1. Open up a web browser, go to the official Roblox website, and click on the Create tab at the top of the page.
  2. Go into the Creator Marketplace and click on the Audio section to open the sound library.
  3. Use the search bar to find whatever background music, sound effects, or memes you want to play.
  4. When you click on a sound, look up at your browser's address bar. The URL will contain a long string of numbers. Copy those numbers, jump back into Grow a Garden 2, and paste them into your Megaphone text box.
That is all there is to it! Grab your gear, find some great audio codes, and have fun upgrading the vibe of your garden patch.
