#1
No official method exists to import MBOX files into Office 365. Microsoft rejects MBOX files. We must convert the MBOX file to PST and import it into Office 365.

First: Move All Data to PST
  • If your computer doesn't already support MBOX files, install Mozilla Thunderbird.
  • Select “local folders” in Thunderbird 12 to import the MBOX file.
  • Copy all emails from the imported MBOX file to a new Thunderbird Gmail account.
  • Wait for email synchronization. Check your Gmail account via a web browser for duplicated emails.
  • After closing Thunderbird, setup the same account in Outlook.
  • All MBOX emails are now accessible in MS Outlook.
  • On the “File” menu, select “Open & Export", then “Import/Export.”
  • Choose “Export to a file,” then “Outlook Data File (.pst).”
  • Select the specified account mailbox with all MBOX emails.
  • Browse the destination & click “Finish” to store the PST.
