I keep seeing people talk about how easy it is to grow on OnlyFans, but when I first started, it honestly felt confusing. Everyone says you just need to Promote OnlyFans the right way, but nobody really explains what that actually looks like when you are brand new and have almost no audience.
That was the biggest issue for me in the beginning. I had the page set up, posted some content, and then just kind of sat there waiting for something to happen. Spoiler alert, nothing happened. No traffic, barely any views, and definitely no subscribers. It made me wonder if I was missing some obvious step that everyone else already knew.
After reading through a bunch of forums and watching what other creators were doing, I realized most people are not relying on just one place. Some people post teasers on social platforms, others join niche communities, and a lot of them simply stay active in places where potential fans already hang out. I tried a few different approaches just to see what felt natural.
One thing I noticed pretty quickly is that consistency matters more than trying to be perfect. When I shared small previews, interacted with people in comments, and showed a bit of personality, it seemed to get more attention than polished posts that looked like ads. People on forums especially seem to respond better when things feel real instead of promotional.
Another thing that helped was learning where promotion is actually allowed. Some communities are strict, but others are surprisingly supportive if you follow their rules and participate normally instead of just dropping links.
I am still figuring things out, but the biggest lesson so far is that growth is slower than people make it sound. Testing different places, staying active, and being patient seems to work better than trying one tactic and expecting instant results.
Curious if anyone else had a similar experience starting out.
