How do I Migrate Yahoo Mail to Google Workspace?
#1
You have the option of either manually migrate Yahoo Mail to Google Workspace, or using a professional method. In the manual method, login to your Google Admin Console and locate Data Migration Service. Select Email as the data type, and select Yahoo as the Source application type. Enter your Yahoo email address, then either use the Yahoo email password or generate an app password (if this setting is activated in Yahoo). Next, set any IMAP settings and grant access. Once access is verified, you can select which emails you want to migrate and Google Workspace will start to migrate the Yahoo email to the target Gmail account.

This method has some limitations. The migration will take a long time, especially with large mailboxes. But it only covers emails, contacts, calendars, and filters will not be migrated. The folder structure may not be set as you wanted it, and attachments may have issues with compatibility.

Alternatively,  the MacSonik Yahoo Mail Backup Tool is a great tool that allows you to quickly, easily, and safely migrate Yahoo Mail data to G Suite. It allows for migration to multiple formats and email clients; and it preserves the original folder structure. Its best feature is the ability to release up server space immediately after the backup process is complete. Some other features include, avoidance of duplicate email client entries, folder selection, select if you want to include attachments/not.

Here is a step-by-step approach to migrating from Yahoo Mail to Google Workspace:

1. Download and install the MacSonik Yahoo Mail Backup Tool.
2. Click on Continue.
3. Now you can choose between Single mode and Batch mode.
4. Login with your Yahoo account credentials.
5. Choose the folders from the hierarchical tree structure and review their contents. Once satisfied, you can click on Next.
6. Select Email client and choose Google Workspace from the drop-down list.
7. Choose the destination path you want to migrate to and click Next to enter the next step.
8. Apply any additional feature/process that might be applicable.
9. Finally, click Next to start the process.
