How can I track my progress toward a better TOEFL score?
#1
One of the most effective ways to improve your TOEFL performance is by regularly tracking your progress through full-length practice tests. Taking consistent mock tests allows you to measure how close you are to your target TOEFL score and highlights which areas need more attention. Simply studying is not enough—what truly matters is how you apply that knowledge under test conditions. As a professional TOEFL tutor, I work closely with my students to monitor their progress and identify both strengths and weaknesses in all four sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing.

After each practice test, I help them break down their performance in detail. We look at more than just the scores—we analyze the types of questions they’re missing, the time they’re spending on each task, and how well they’re managing their strategies. This detailed analysis enables us to fine-tune their approach, whether it's pacing themselves better in the Reading section or improving organization in Writing tasks.

With each round of feedback and practice, students gain a clearer understanding of how to improve not just accuracy, but also consistency. Mock tests are not only a tool for evaluation—they're essential for building test-day confidence. By aligning their study plans with results from each test, students move step-by-step closer to achieving their desired TOEFL score with greater efficiency and less stress.
