How Can I Easily Register My Globe SIM in the Philippines?
#1
Hi Ziuma community,
I hope you all are doing well!
I recently moved to the Philippines for work and purchased a Globe SIM card to stay connected with family and friends. It’s been great so far, but I’ve learned about the government’s new SIM registration requirement. Apparently, this step is crucial to avoid having my SIM deactivated.
This is my first time dealing with such a process, and I’m not exactly sure how to go about it. I’ve tried to gather some information from friends and forums, but there seem to be a lot of steps, and I’m nervous about making a mistake. From what I understand, there’s an online registration process for Globe users, which sounds convenient, but I want to ensure I use a secure and reliable method.
While searching for instructions, I came across this registration portal, which claims to offer a seamless way to register your Globe SIM. Has anyone here used this service before? If so, could you share your experience? Was it safe and efficient? I’m really cautious about entering personal information online, especially since this involves sensitive data linked to my phone.
Also, I’d love to hear about alternative ways to register if there are any. Is it better to visit a Globe store in person? How long does the process typically take? Are there any documents or IDs I should have prepared before starting the registration?
I’d really appreciate it if someone who has been through this process could give me a step-by-step breakdown of what to expect. For anyone living in the Philippines who’s familiar with the registration process, your input would be a huge help to me and, I’m sure, others who might be reading this post.
Looking forward to your responses and guidance! Thank you in advance for helping a newbie like me navigate this

Yes, in recent years, information management on network SIMs has been managed very tightly. It helps to manage information effectively and protect national network security.

Hi! Yes, the SIM registration is important to avoid deactivation, and it's great that you're being cautious. For Globe, you can register your SIM online through their official portal. This method is secure, but always make sure you’re using the official website or app to avoid phishing scams. If you’re not comfortable registering online, you can visit a Globe store in person, where they’ll assist you in the process. You’ll typically need a valid government-issued ID and proof of your Philippine address. The process should take just a few minutes once you have everything ready!

Welcome to the Philippines!
I recently went through the same process with my DITO SIM, and I totally get the confusion. I used their official site—it was quick and secure, just needed a valid ID and a selfie.
For Globe, make sure you use their official registration site as well. It’s pretty straightforward, but you can also visit a Globe store if you'd prefer to do it in person.
Hope that helps, and welcome again!

Hey there! I totally get your concern, registering your SIM in a new country can be confusing at first, but you're on the right track. Yes, Globe SIM registration can be done online, and it's actually a pretty straightforward process if you follow the right steps. Just make sure you’re using the official registration portal for security.
Also, since SIM registration is often linked to your personal identification, it’s a good idea to check out the national id registration in the Philippines process as well. Having a valid National ID can make things smoother when registering your SIM and for other services in the country. The system, called PhilSys, is designed to simplify identification for both citizens and resident aliens.
If you prefer doing things in person, visiting a Globe store is also a safe option. Just bring a valid ID and your SIM details. Hope this helps, and welcome to the Philippines!
