Do you trust someone more if they seem genuinely caring?

Hey everyone,
Quick question for y’all: does a person’s caring vibe make you trust them more—even if you don’t know much about their background or credentials?

I know for me, it makes a huge difference. Like, yeah, qualifications matter. But if I meet someone who actually listens, asks thoughtful questions, and doesn’t rush things, I immediately feel safer. Especially in personal or emotional situations—whether it’s health stuff, pet care, therapy, whatever.

I found this profile earlier: link here and it just gave me that feeling. No flashy selling, no ego, just someone who seems grounded and compassionate. I honestly wish more people in service roles had that energy.

I’ve had both kinds of experiences: people who are technically excellent but kind of cold, and others who may not have all the fancy certifications but clearly care. Honestly, I’ll take the second group any day. It builds trust way faster, at least for me.

That said, I know some folks prefer a strictly professional vibe. Like, “just give me the facts and do your job.” But I’m curious where others stand on this.
Do you value caring energy as part of how you decide to trust someone? Or does that come second after experience and skill?

Let’s hear your take—especially if you’ve had a moment where someone’s kindness completely changed how you felt about the situation.
