Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to get some advice from people who either live in Dubai or have spent time here with kids. I’m trying to plan more family outings and weekend activities, but honestly, it feels overwhelming. Dubai has so many options theme parks, indoor play areas, outdoor attractions, seasonal events, malls, adventure parks and it’s hard to know what’s actually worth the time and money, especially when you’re going with children.
Every kid is different, and what works for one family doesn’t always work for another. Some kids love high-energy theme parks, while others enjoy calmer places like indoor play zones or creative spaces. As a parent, you also have to think about age limits, safety, crowds, and how long a place can actually keep kids entertained.
I’ve been trying to research different options and came across Kidzapp, which is a website that lists kids’ activities, family-friendly attractions, and events across Dubai, Sharjah, and other parts of the UAE. What I liked is that it lets you see things like age suitability, timings, and types of activities in one place instead of jumping between dozens of different websites. It helped me discover a few places I hadn’t even heard of before.
That said, I don’t want to rely only on websites I’d really love to hear real experiences from people here. For example:
Looking forward to hearing your suggestions and learning from your experiences.
Thanks in advance!

- Are places like KidZania, Global Village, or indoor play areas actually worth visiting with kids?
- Which places are good for younger kids versus older ones?
- What do you usually do when you just want a relaxed family day out, not something too hectic or expensive?
- Are there any hidden gems in Dubai or Sharjah that families often miss?
Looking forward to hearing your suggestions and learning from your experiences.
Thanks in advance!
