I’m currently on the hunt for a solid general contractor estimating software and wanted to open up a discussion to see what tools others are using and what’s working well out there. I run a mid-sized construction firm and we’re growing fast enough that manual spreadsheets and basic tools just aren’t cutting it anymore. We're losing valuable time in the estimating process and occasionally running into errors that are costing us money.
From what I understand, a proper estimating software can streamline the entire bidding process, reduce human error, and help us stay competitive without underbidding. But I’m also curious about the more advanced features out there like integrations with project management tools, real-time cost updates, subcontractor management, and even AI-driven cost predictions. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s already using one of these tools and what benefits they've noticed.
