I’m currently working with a group of international students who are preparing to begin their academic journey in Durham this coming term. One of the biggest concerns they’re facing is how to find student accommodation in Durham that not only fits their budget but also offers comfort, safety, and proximity to their campus.
Durham is a beautiful and historic university city, but for newcomers, navigating the rental landscape can be a bit overwhelming. There are questions around choosing between private halls and shared apartments, the ideal neighborhoods for students, public transport connectivity, and of course, how to avoid overpaying or falling into housing scams.
