The Laos eVisa lets eligible tourists apply online before traveling. The process includes completing a form, uploading documents, paying the fee, and receiving an approval letter by email.
1. Check Eligibility and Prepare Documents
Before starting your Laos visa online application confirm that your nationality qualifies and that your visit is for tourism. Prepare:

Ensure all information matches your passport, particularly your name, number, date of birth, and expiry date. Upload files in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format, with each file under 2 MB. Scans must be complete and clearly show the machine-readable zone.
3. Pay and Track the Application
Review your details before payment. The fee depends on nationality and is non-refundable. After submitting your application, save your application ID and use it with your passport number to check progress online.
Processing usually takes three working days, but incomplete information, holidays, or high demand may cause delays. Apply several days before departure to allow enough time for processing.
4. Receive Approval and Enter Laos
Approved travelers receive an approval letter by email. Download and print it, and carry it with the passport used during the application.
The tourist visa generally allows single entry and a stay of up to 30 days. It must be used within its validity period, usually up to 60 days after issuance.
